Time Paralleling, Multi Tasking, Time Leverage
My definition of Time Paralleling is to run activities simultaneous at the same time in parallel which one another, getting the most out of your time in an efficient way. To run time most efficiently, a Timeline may or may not have to line up exactly. I would say it’s almost the same as the when you try to Multi-Task, but I believe multi-tasking is not efficient, and some multi-tasking is not productive and can waste your time. Time Paralleling is a way of maximizing your time. It’s more of a controlled multi-tasking, without the constant jumping back and forth. An example I would give that relates to real life is when a Chef is put into a complex cooking situation and is forced to use Time Paralleling, when he or she is cooking. The Chef would have to coordinate a Timeline to have all foods end at around the same time. A cook could have six burners, the oven with its 2 shelves, all cooking simultaneous at the same time. This would be considered multi-tasking in a positive way; so not all multi-tasking is bad. In addition to this, the Chef would have to prepare the food; this includes mixing, stirring, slicing, chopping and preparing. The Chef has 10 different foods to prepare and cook, all on different burners or oven space, different temperatures, different preparation times, all while utilizing different heating elements in the kitchen.
To become efficient, the Chef has to continuously be practicing so that he or she can maximize his or her time. The one theme and commonality I am trying to get you to relate to, is that everything is tied to time, or a Timeline. As with this example, each food item is at a different stage of temperature ranging from frozen, cold, room temperature, or currently thawing. Even the foods themselves with it’s own independent temperature and what it was stored at. The stage in which it’s thawing even will follow it’s own independent Timeline. At this point you are thinking this article is just about cooking a meal, which you probably do all of the time weekly. Your statements would be correct, except that you are looking at that meal as just one thing that you do during the day on your To Do Lists. What I am trying to do is to get you to realize that if you focus on just this one thing that you do, and how each and every second is accounted for, if you can understand that, than you can understand better how to apply that with everything else you do in life implementing Time Paralleling. It’s important that you recognize it, and understand it as it relates to your every day life. From my example, the Chef has to know when to start the Time Clock on certain things, when to Stop Time, when to Slow Time down, and when to Speed Time up. Time is constantly moving forward whether we like it or not. Time will not wait for you, you can never catch up with time, and you can only try your best. From what you have read thus far, you are probably thinking, big deal, at night I already have a plan to start cooking at 6pm for the family, finish by 7pm, and then start some chores, It’s just something I already fit into my day, it’s already pre-planned.
The message I am trying to get across is what if you learned how to save seconds and minutes not just off this cooking activity, but also off of all of your activities throughout the entire 24-hour day. Eventually you’d have 30 minutes, 60 minutes, maybe even 2 hours or more of Leisure Time (free time) every single day. You can do with that now available time whatever you would like. With this time, you may choose to spend more time with family, learn another language, start a 2nd business online which would generate you more money, so that you can travel more often. Anything is possible with your life, if you create more time out of thin air. My goal on my Ron Orr Blog is to teach you these concepts because Life is a Game of Seconds. In order to gain more time daily, you will implement a lot of the time strategies referred to on this Ron Orr Blog.
Another very important concept is Time Leverage, which falls under my Time Evolution life plan. Time Leverage is one of my favorite concepts and is best accomplished through OPE, OPM, OPR, and OPT. I use Time Leverage most often in every day life through Technology, Marketing, Systems and Delegating. We can also witness Negative Time Leverage everyday when uneducated people Steal Time, or when people themselves do unnecessary Plate Spinning, or use Bad Systems. Another example is when people don’t understand Technology, or Technology gets the best of them in a negative way.
The reason that Time Paralleling and Time Leverage are so important is that your neighbors, your friends and business associates are applying it, to some degree, every single day. Let’s not forget that people in other countries are advancing every single day with education (OPE), Technology and Internet Marketing. We are entering a world that is Globally Time Competitive. This is not a game of keeping ahead of the joneses’. This is not a game of showing off your material things to others. 95% of the population will find themselves broke, unhealthy, and unsatisfied by the time they reach the standard age of retirement. You have to push yourself hourly to do more than those you find yourself surrounded with. You simply can’t model yourself after someone else’s Timeline, because their Timeline is likely leading them on a path conducive to those that will end up like the other 95%. I ask you, why pattern yourself after something that is proven to be wrong, or unsuccessful? When you find that others are simply only floating their way through life, it’s at this point in life, where you get honest with yourself and realize that to become the leader you wish to be, instead of a follower (95%), you must apply Time Leverage, Time Paralleling, and other aspects of my Time Evolution concepts, every single day of your life so that you may end up having lived and accomplished a very full successful life.
