(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/tCQCg)
I have just listened to this 1 tape set about finding your passion for your career or work you love. According to the author, it's a matter of trusting yourself, paying attention to the people and events in the outside world. It's about finding your talents and find what you enjoy doing, and listen to your own heart. This tape set is read by the author. This author Laurence also did Zen and the Art of Making a Living. The publisher is Penguin Audiobooks, and the copyright is from 1996. He feels that those that do a career they love will also likely make more money.
What I get out of it is I think he thinks we should find our own unique abilities and how we can help the world and have our talents be meaningful, and joyful. What am I here to do on this earth? What moves us all? Here is a link to buy the book on Amazon, I haven't read the book, only listened to the abridged audio tape version.

This is probably the most calming speaker I have ever listened to, he remains calm throughout the entire audio. He uses the word commitment a lot. He talks about shaping your life towards what you really want to do. You find the work you love based on looking for what it is you want to do, not what you don't want to do, positive values and affirmation. The steps along the way may not be clear. Integrity, service, enjoyment and excellence,(ISEE) are principles he believes in. He brings up the idea of staying away from doubt. He feels the ISEE formula will guide you towards your goal in a proactive way.
