(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/Up2Vb)
I am listening to "Living the 7 Habits" by Stephen R. Covey for the 2nd time this year. Stephen Covey has a very large vocabulary and is very intelligent. He speaks on this CD, but also provides many stories to illustrate his habits. It's called stories of courage and inspiration, based on real-life experiences. This is a 72 minute CD for running time. They talk about business and mission statement. A couple of other things by Stephen R. Covey are Reflections for Highly Effective People, and also Principle-Centered Leadership, First Things First(Which I am in the middle of right now, you'll see a posting soon).
He believes imagination is better than memory. Memory is finite. Imagination sees into the future it's unlimited, the subconscious mind does this. One story discusses alternatives and synergy, how family is more important than work, in some cases it's a higher priority. Synergy is the reward for seeking to understand how to make a win-win situation. This is a Simon & Schuster audio compact disc. The copyright on this CD is 1999.
One quote on the back of the CD is:
"To live with change, to optimisze change, you need principles that don't change. I cannot fully describe the respect and reverence I have for every person who has contributed a story, for their willingness to share their inward struggles to live by universal and self-evident principles." -Stephen R. Covey
