Warren Buffet Way by Robert G. Hagstrom, Jr.

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/IptrG)
I am just finishing listening to The Warren Buffet Way done by Robert G. Hagstrom, Jr.  and read by Ronald C. Fraizier. He really seems to know Warren Buffet's investment strategies, and beliefs very well.  I find the subject matter a bit dry, and technical, and I believe most people will, but if you really like the stock market, and how to evaluate companies market value and what to pay for these companies and whether to buy their stock I would highly recommend this 2 tape set.   The tape set talks a lot about Berkshire Hathaway and what companies are owned by Buffet and which ones are his favorites and why. How Buffet determines what companies are a good value and worth holding onto long term.  This tape set has a copyright of 1995 on it.   You have to have a lot of respect for Warren Buffet based on his networth and how successful he is year after year on picking the right investments.    He said Warren Buffet started with only $100 one day in the past and built it to billions. He has often found himself only behind Bill Gates on the Forbes 100 Richest people in America.

I bought this audio set used at half price books, which I highly recommend as the price was $3.98 compared to the $18.00 it sold for brand new.  This is a tape set you would have to listen to a few times to retain a lot of what is said.   Convertible preferred stock seems to be a popular investment type.  This tape set was done by Random House Audio Publishing, Inc. This tape set talks very positive about Coca-Cola and Gillete.  Geico is also talked about positively.  They talk a lot about return on investments, growth of stocks, equity value of stocks, and most of the tape talks about how to determine what is a good business and what it's worth paying for or holding onto.
